Job Booking in ServiceTitan

Purpose

How service technicians interact with job bookings in ServiceTitan — reviewing their assigned jobs, confirming details, and managing their daily schedule.

When to Use

At the start of every shift and throughout the day as jobs are assigned or updated.

Procedure

Morning Routine

  • Open ServiceTitan on your tablet and navigate to your daily schedule.
  • Review all assigned jobs for the day — read the full job description and notes for each.
  • Check customer history on each job — have they been served before? Any notes from prior visits?
  • Plan your route based on the order of jobs and geography.
  • Ensure your truck is stocked with materials likely needed for today's job types.
  • Before Each Job

  • Call the customer 20-30 minutes before arrival as a courtesy heads-up.
  • Mark your status in ServiceTitan as "En Route" when departing for the job.
  • When you arrive, mark "Arrived" in ServiceTitan — this starts the job timer.
  • During the Job

  • Use ServiceTitan's notes field to document findings as you go.
  • Take photos and attach them to the job record.
  • Build estimates within ServiceTitan (not on paper or in other apps).
  • If you need to add a tag (membership, referral, warranty), do it during the active job.
  • Completing the Job

  • Complete all required fields: diagnosis, work performed, materials used.
  • Process payment through ServiceTitan.
  • Mark the job as "Completed" — this triggers the customer follow-up sequence.
  • If the job results in a turnover (sales follow-up needed), note it and tag accordingly.
  • Important Notes

    • ServiceTitan is your single source of truth. If it's not in ServiceTitan, it didn't happen.
    • Keep your app updated and synced. Offline work should be synced as soon as you have signal.
    • If you have technical issues with the app, contact the office immediately.
    • Never share your ServiceTitan login with anyone.
