Update Process
Communication Format
Pricing update announcements include:
- Date effective
- Items changed (description and new price)
- Reason for change (material cost, market adjustment, etc.)
- Any impact on existing estimates
Handling Transition
- Estimates created before a pricing update are honored at the old price for 30 days.
- After 30 days, the customer is informed that a new estimate may reflect current pricing.
- If a customer references an old price, check the estimate date and honor it if within 30 days.
Important Notes
- Only authorized personnel update pricing in ServiceTitan — techs and sales reps do not make pricing changes.
- If you believe a price is wrong, report it; don't work around it.
- Pricing updates affect margins for the whole company. They're made carefully and deliberately.
- Historical pricing data is preserved in ServiceTitan for reporting.
