Procedure
Review scope: which fixtures, locations, any rough-in changes needed
Protect surrounding areas: drop cloths, floor protection, wall protection
Shut off water supply to the work area
Remove old fixtures carefully — protect surrounding tile, countertops, and walls
Inspect rough-in plumbing: supply lines, drain connections, vent connections
Install new fixtures per manufacturer specs and Ohio code
Use new supply lines and drain connections — do not reuse old
Ensure proper slope on drain connections
Seal all fixture-to-surface connections (plumber's putty, silicone, wax ring as appropriate)
Restore water and test every connection: supply, drain, and overflow
Check for leaks at all points
Verify proper hot/cold configuration at each fixture
Clean up and protect installed fixtures during remaining workImportant Notes
- Coordinate with other trades (tile, countertop) on timing if applicable
- Take before photos to document existing conditions
- New supply lines on every fixture — braided stainless standard
- Caulk toilets to floor per local code requirements
- Customer walkthrough at completion — show them each fixture
