Tool & Equipment Reference Guide

Overview

Reference guide for Spartan's standard tools and equipment. Covers what each role uses, purchasing/account procedures, and field-specific notes from the team. ## Tool Ownership and Accounts

Spartan provides standard vehicle tools. Personal tools may be purchased through Spartan's tool account program and deducted from payroll:

- "the Production Concierge purchases an extension cord and requests it be put on his tool account for payroll deduction. " (Slack)

- Request personal tool purchases through the designated channel — provide item, cost, and your name

- No personal tools in excavation trucks — "They get lost or stolen. " Company tools only on excavation jobs. ## Standard Service Tech Tools

## Standard Install Tech Tools (Additional)

| Safety | Full PPE kit including eye and ear protection for sewer/excavation work |

## Cart Jetter

- Used for hydro-jetting drain lines and sewer work

- Requires training certification before solo operation — see Week 2 tool certification (Install) SOP

- Post-use: full hose management (prevent kinks), nozzle rinse, machine stored clean

- "No personal tools in the excavation truck" — Cart Jetter and all company tools are company property; log any damage same day

## Dealing with Difficult Drain Situations

## Excavation Equipment

- Excavation jobs require a lead AND helper — never one person alone

- All vehicles loaded with standard company tools before going to excavation site

- Wrap chains around stumps for excavator-assisted removal if needed; chainsaw and demo blade for difficult stumps
