Replacement Procedure
Shut off hot and cold supply valves under the sink
Relieve pressure by opening the faucet
Disconnect supply lines from the old faucet
Remove the old faucet — may require basin wrench for tight spaces
Clean the sink surface where the old faucet was mounted
Install the new faucet per manufacturer instructions
Connect supply lines — use new braided stainless lines (do not reuse old supply lines)
Turn on water and check all connections for leaks
Run both hot and cold and verify proper operation
Check the drain and pop-up assembly if included with the new faucetCommon Repairs
Cartridge replacement: shut off water, remove handle, extract cartridge, replace with manufacturer-matched cartridge
Seats and springs: remove cartridge to access seats and springs, replace as a set
O-ring replacement: identify the leaking O-ring location, replace with correct size
Supply line replacement: shut off valves, disconnect old lines, install new braided stainless linesImportant Notes
- Always use new supply lines with a new faucet installation
- Take photos of the old faucet model before removal for parts reference
- PEX supply lines require appropriate fittings — do not cross-thread or over-tighten
- Present repair vs. replacement options — labor for multiple repairs may exceed cost of new faucet
- Customer choice of faucet matters — if they want to supply their own, note that warranty is their responsibility
