Code of Conduct

Policy Statement

Every Spartan Plumbing employee represents the company in the community. Our Code of Conduct defines the behavioral expectations for all staff, on the job and in Spartan vehicles or uniforms.

Who This Applies To

All Spartan Plumbing employees in all roles.

Core Expectations

Professionalism

  • Treat every customer, coworker, and vendor with respect and courtesy
  • Maintain a professional appearance per the Dress Code & Uniform Standards SOP
  • Communicate clearly and honestly — no deceptive or manipulative behavior

Integrity

  • Never misrepresent work performed or materials used
  • Never accept personal tips, gifts, or side jobs from Spartan customers
  • Never charge a customer for work not performed
  • Report any errors or oversights honestly and promptly

Customer Respect

  • Treat every home as if it were your own
  • Use home protection procedures on every call (shoe covers, drop cloths)
  • Never speak negatively about a customer, competitor, or coworker in front of a customer

Coworker Respect

  • No bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior (see Anti-Harassment SOP)
  • Resolve disagreements professionally — bring concerns to Operations Manager, not social media
  • Support team members; do not undermine colleagues

Company Property

  • Spartan vehicles, tools, and equipment are for Spartan work only
  • No personal use of company vehicles, gas cards, or equipment without explicit approval from Josh
  • Report any damage to company property immediately

Social Media

  • Do not post about customers, job sites, or internal Spartan matters on social media without approval
  • Do not represent yourself as speaking on behalf of Spartan on social media
  • See Social Media Policy SOP for full guidelines

Violations

Violations of this Code of Conduct are addressed progressively depending on severity:

  • Minor violations: verbal correction, then written warning
  • Serious violations (theft, fraud, harassment, safety violations): may result in immediate termination

Josh Ferguson makes all final decisions on discipline and termination.
