Anti-Harassment & Equal Opportunity

Policy Statement

Spartan Plumbing is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination. All employees are entitled to work in an environment where they are treated with dignity and respect. Spartan does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.

Who This Applies To

All Spartan Plumbing employees, including field technicians, office staff, managers, and Josh Ferguson as the owner.

What Constitutes Harassment

Harassment includes any unwelcome conduct based on a protected characteristic (race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by Ohio or federal law) that:

  • Creates a hostile, intimidating, or offensive work environment, OR
  • Is used as a basis for employment decisions (hiring, promotion, discipline)

Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

Bullying — repeated acts or verbal comments intended to intimidate, offend, degrade, or humiliate — is also prohibited.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Spartan Plumbing makes all employment decisions (hiring, promotion, compensation, discipline, termination) without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

How to Report

Any employee who experiences or witnesses harassment or discrimination should:

  • Report to Josh Ferguson directly if comfortable doing so
  • If the concern involves Josh, contact Spartan's legal counsel or Ohio Civil Rights Commission
  • Reports can be made verbally or in writing
  • Spartan will investigate all reports promptly and confidentially. Retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith is prohibited and is itself grounds for discipline.

    Consequences

Any employee found to have engaged in harassment or discrimination is subject to discipline up to and including termination.
