Non-Compete & Confidentiality

Policy Statement

Employees may have access to confidential business information during their employment. Spartan Plumbing requires employees to protect this information during and after their employment.

Who This Applies To

All Spartan Plumbing employees who have signed a non-compete or confidentiality agreement.

Confidentiality Requirements

  • Customer lists, pricing strategies, vendor agreements, and internal financial data are confidential
  • Do not share confidential information with competitors, former employees, or anyone outside the company
  • Protect customer personal information (addresses, phone numbers, payment information)
  • Do not take photos of internal documents, pricing sheets, or confidential materials for personal use

Non-Compete Terms

  • Specific non-compete terms are outlined in your signed agreement
  • Generally, you may not work for a direct competitor or solicit Spartan customers for a defined period after leaving the company
  • The specific terms (duration, geographic area, scope) vary by role and are in your individual agreement

Intellectual Property

  • Training materials, SOPs, processes, and business methods developed by Spartan Plumbing are company property
  • Do not copy or distribute internal training materials outside the company
  • Custom tools, templates, or processes you create as part of your job belong to Spartan Plumbing

After Leaving Spartan Plumbing

  • Return all company property: uniforms, tools, keys, devices, documents
  • Do not retain copies of confidential information in any format
  • Your confidentiality obligations survive your departure from the company
  • Non-compete obligations are enforceable per the terms of your signed agreement

Important Notes

  • If you are unsure whether information is confidential, treat it as confidential
  • If you receive a request for confidential information from someone outside the company, refer them to the office
  • Violations of confidentiality may result in termination and legal action
