Dress Code & Uniform Standards

Policy Statement

All Spartan Plumbing field employees must present a professional, clean, and uniform appearance on every job. Your appearance is the first impression customers have of Spartan Plumbing.

Who This Applies To

All service technicians, install technicians, sales representatives, and any employee visiting customer properties.

Required Uniform

  • Spartan Plumbing branded shirt (polo or t-shirt as issued)
  • Clean, dark-colored work pants or shorts (no jeans with holes, no sweatpants)
  • Steel-toe or composite-toe work boots (required on all job sites)
  • Spartan Plumbing hat or beanie (optional but must be company-branded if worn)
  • Name badge visible at all times

Grooming Standards

  • Clean and neat appearance — shower before your shift
  • Facial hair must be trimmed and maintained
  • Hair should be pulled back if long enough to present a safety hazard
  • No offensive or inappropriate jewelry or accessories visible to customers

Daily Uniform Fit and Vehicle Check

  • Before your first job each day, submit your Daily Fit Check as required
  • Verify your uniform is clean, complete, and professional
  • If your uniform is damaged or stained beyond professional appearance, request a replacement from the office

Uniform Maintenance

  • Spartan provides uniforms at no cost to the employee
  • Employees are responsible for laundering their uniforms
  • Damaged or worn uniforms should be returned to the office for replacement
  • If you leave Spartan Plumbing, all company uniforms must be returned

Exceptions

  • Extreme weather may require additional layers over the uniform — but the Spartan brand should be visible when interacting with customers
  • PPE requirements override uniform standards (safety glasses, gloves, etc. are always worn when required)

Violations

  • Showing up to a job without a proper uniform will result in being sent home to change
  • Repeated uniform violations will be addressed through the progressive discipline process
